We are recruiting a Quality Engineer for an exciting opportunity in Kariega — ideal for someone with solid automotive/manufacturing experience and strong quality engineering knowledge. This is a permanent staff role with excellent benefits and opportunities for growth. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Managing the qualification programme for new part introductions Ensuring components meet specification throughout their life cycle Leading continuous improvement , root-cause analysis and corrective actions Testing & evaluating parts for function, materials, and durability Providing technical expertise on interior components and systems Initiating design improvements for complex part-related challenges Processing local and CKD supplier claims Working cross-functionally with engineering, suppliers, quality, and production teams WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING Essential National Diploma/Degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Polymer Engineering 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of vehicle parts, specifications, functions & systems Understanding of parts manufacturing processes & testing methods Proficiency in Quality Tools (DOE, SPC, FMEA, 8D) Ability to interpret technical drawings Strong analytical/problem-solving ability Excellent written & verbal communication MS Office proficiency Able to travel (local & international) at short notice Valid driver’s licence WHY THIS ROLE IS A GAME-CHANGER Work with complex, high-tech automotive components Deep involvement in engineering, quality, and supplier interaction Opportunities to travel Become the go-to technical expert for part performance Quality meets innovation — and YOU could be the difference.
