QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or Finance. A degree in Supply Chain or Logistics can be an advantage. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Product analysis costing and profitability analysis Data analytics Data modeling Sales and Marketing Systems Market research methodology Competitor analysis Microsoft BI, Qlikview, Microsoft Applications and related systems Understanding of meat and retail business models Understanding Pricing Strategies SKILLS REQUIRED Analytical Skills : Ability to analyze and interpret large sets of sales data to make informed decisions Data Management : Proficiency in handling large datasets, ensuring accuracy, and creating reports for stakeholders Trend Analysis : Ability to track market trends, sales performance, and customer behaviors to forecast future sales and demand Sales Reporting : Experience in creating and presenting detailed sales reports, dashboards, and insights to senior management. Problem‑Solving : Aptitude for identifying issues in sales data and coming up with actionable solutions. Attention to Detail : Accuracy in analyzing and presenting data. Communication Skills : Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Knowledge of FMCG Industry : Understanding of the dynamics of the meat sector, market demand cycles, pricing, and competition. Customer Insights : Ability to analyze consumer behavior and sales patterns to help improve product offerings or adjust strategies. 1. Collection, Analysis & Reporting Advanced use of statistical analyses tools / applications. Provide general sales reporting and analysis that assists in monitoring sales performance through the sales information system. Provide data and analytical support for internal presentations and business reviews. Create dashboards, measures and reports as required / requested to support analysis and decision‑making. Channel data analysis, product movement, customer and consumer purchase data, consumer behaviour, etc. Assists with interpretation and strategic insight from the myriad data types that are available. Assists in the identification and development of business opportunities through analysis and interpretation of customer, market and consumer data. Sales forecasting to facilitate accurate production planning. Attend sales calls / meetings with sales team as required. Monitors / maintains a customer specific data base. Evaluate the effectiveness of promotional efforts in the market using available data sources. Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications 2. Reporting Specifics Customer sales performance review documents & ppts. Key account master listing schedule (customer, product). Customised Reports. Board sales report (by customer / region) QlikView. Audit sales report QlikView. Sales report QlikView. Quarterly report QlikView. Profitability reports by channel. Category sales report by butchery. Profitability reports for butcheries by Stock Keeping Unit. 3. Trade Marketing Develop, manage and implement National Promotions calendar across all Retailers in line with the Companies Marketing Campaigns. Track and report results of National Promotions Support Marketing team with all Retail Activations Manage and Implement all Spaza branding and activations in the Informal (Masakhane) Channel. Manage all Trade Marketing related deliverables as required by Sales including Trade Presneters, product catalogues etc. 4. Pricing Strategies Cost-Plus Pricing : Monitor the production costs (raw materials, processing, packaging, etc.) and ensure that pricing strategies are built around covering costs and achieving target margins. This strategy also involve periodic price adjustments based on cost fluctuations. Competitive Pricing : Pricing decisions must be aligned with what competitors in the meat market are offering. The analyst compares internal prices against competitor prices to determine where the company stands in terms of value for money Promotional Pricing : Short-term pricing strategies, such as discounts or bundling offers (e.g., "buy one, get one free"), need to be carefully analyzed to assess their effect on short-term sales versus long-term brand equity and profitability 5. Service Quality Reliability (Ability to perform service dependably and accurately). Responsiveness (Willingness to assist customers and users and provide prompt service). Assurance (Knowledge of and courtesy by employee, and ability to convey trust and confidence). Empathy (Caring, individualised attention provided to customers & users). Tangibles (Appearance / quality of communication materials / reports). Product Knowledge (High level knowledge of products). 6.
