- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all hospital engineering systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
- Manage the performance and maintenance of critical hospital equipment and technologies, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Lead a team of Engineers and Technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support for continuous professional development.
- Develop, implement, and enforce preventive maintenance schedules for hospital infrastructure and equipment.
- Coordinate and supervise emergency repairs, troubleshooting, and technical support to minimize downtime and disruption to hospital operations.
- Monitor and manage energy usage and sustainability initiatives, ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to environmental standards.
- Collaborate with hospital administration and department Heads to ensure engineering projects and upgrades align with hospital needs.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, codes, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, OSHA, Joint Commission).
- Develop and manage budgets for engineering operations, projects, and equipment procurement.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that all systems meet safety and operational standards.
- Respond to facility emergencies and ensure rapid resolution of critical issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field). A Master's Degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in hospital or healthcare facility management, engineering, or maintenance, with a focus on critical systems and infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of healthcare building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams and projects.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach to managing critical systems.
- Ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
- Experience with energy management and sustainability practices in a healthcare environment is a plus.
