If so, then we are looking for you Duties & Responsibilities Role Purpose : Supervise and oversee the daily operations of M.A.R.C sites. Responsible for ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance and repair activities of equipment and manage resources to achieve production targets. Responsibilities : Health, Safety and Environment : Comply to Hitachi health, safety and environmental standards, behavioural rules, procedures and processes. Identify and report incidents and accidents within timely. Hold and conduct safety meetings daily. Adhere to the mine safety regulations. Statement of Work and Project Planning, Monitoring and Management Identify and manage repairs carried-out by customer, substandard repairs (mechanical, structural, non-structural and warrantable items). Prepare accurate bill of material (BOM), to source necessary spares for the identified defects / deviation. Follow up on backorder parts and plan changeouts accurately to stop machines for outstanding replacements. Identify and adhere to strategy to handle units under warranty and comply towards Service Bulletin and FIR procedure. Plan and prioritize service in response to failure of equipment, project scope, assess and diagnose nature of the problem and schedule date, time and resources. Responsible to issue all relevant manuals and resources and make it available for the execution of work (agree on work steps and technical processes). Monitors and checks quality of work done and safety adherence, problems and issues. Work Management and Control Resource managed accurately when forecasting, planning a schedule maintenance to have better workload split as per contract obligation. Oversee proactive sourcing of required material, i.e. service kits. Monitor and manage adherence to photography procedure, take photograph of all four sides of the machine, with machine data plate : serial number and hours as well as service kits or parts to be replaced placed next to machine. Take before and after photo of parts to be replaced. Proactively check all inspections by conducting spot checks on the artisans reports before signing off. Provide technical or professional advice, support and consultation. Proactively communicate indicative time to complete the repairs, additional parts or tools required if any. Fill in and complete job cards following the 5W and W process, always provide information with machine model, serial number and hours respectively. Technically review and sign service job cards, with job detail, labour, time, parts usage and returning parts. Check, verify and validate supplied information. Perform post inspections before returning the machine. Fleet Management Perform monthly vehicle inspections. Proactively plan for use of substitute vehicles when vehicles are booked in for service. Proactively inspect the condition of Artisan's tool of trade to ensure they well equipped. Effectively Managing Resources Ensure that returning parts are credited back into the system, follow appropriate procedure. Compile and submit workshop activities and productivity reports. Monitors and give feedback on Work in Progress (WIP). Perform weekly consumable and special tool store inspection. Monitors usage of consumables and contingency stock. Liaises with stakeholders with regards to delivery of machines on-sites. People Management Responsible for team performance and development. Ensures that appropriate staff with required skills level to complete jobs within their abilities. Provide technical or professional advice, support and consultation. Monitors and control staff productivity and efficiency (quoted vs actual hours). Management of customer relationship management and understand customer expectation. Management of team conduct and disciplinary issues. Responsible to carry out quarterly performance reviews with individual team members. Responsible to keep clear lines of communication in between interdepartmental and stakeholders respectively. Housekeeping and working conditions Monitor physical work area and always ensure cleanliness. Uphold company 5S approach. Work in an environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions. Requires physical stamina and the ability to work long hours. Additional Roles or Responsibilities Perform additional duties that are within the ambit of the job profile and in accordance with operational requirements. Desired Experience & Qualification Grade 12 or equivalent. Recognized trade certificate : Diesel Mechanic / HEM / Auto Electrician / Millwright / Heavy current Electrician (is essential). Diploma / Degree : Engineering, Operations or Project Management (advantageous). Legal appointment Minimum : 3 years' post trade experience in a Supervisory role within the OEM, Mining or Mining Equipment industry. Minimum : 5 years' post trade experience in an Operational role within the OEM, Mining or Mining Equipment industry. Broad understanding of operational and contractual requirements. Time management and ability to meet deadlines. Verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask. Customer relations, Problem-solving and decision making. Proactivity and self-direction. Good knowledge of the different business functions. Good mathematical skills to help manage the pricing, and estimates. Expert knowledge of Hitachi equipment and parts. System skills : D, Global E, AMT (added advantage). MS Office (Intermediate level).
