About the Role
Our client, a pioneering tech company in the sustainable energy sector, is seeking a talented Senior Frontend Developer with expertise in modern Java Script frameworks like React or Angular. Based in the industrial heartland of Richards Bay, Kwa Zulu-Natal , this role is pivotal in building and refining intuitive user interfaces for our cutting-edge software solutions. You will be responsible for translating complex requirements into elegant, responsive, and user-friendly web applications. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of frontend architecture, a passion for clean code, and a proven ability to lead and mentor junior developers. You will collaborate closely with backend engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and performant applications. Key Responsibilities
Develop, test, and deploy high-quality frontend code for web applications using React or Angular. Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into functional, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces. Collaborate with backend developers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic. Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge within the development team. Troubleshoot and debug frontend issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions. Mentor and guide junior frontend developers, fostering their technical growth. Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and best practices, recommending adoption where appropriate. Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend development. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Java Script (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. Proven expertise in either React or Angular, including state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Ng Rx). Experience with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel) and package managers (e.g., npm, yarn). Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling. Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git. Experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing frameworks. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience working remotely is a plus. Knowledge of the Richards Bay area or willingness to work from there.
