Indsafri | City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa Business Analyst Hybrid – Johannesburg Immediate notice period. Job Summary The Business Analyst will support the Business Banking IT team in defining, analysing, and implementing change initiatives that enhance corporate and commercial banking processes. This includes initiatives related to client onboarding, credit origination, payments, and related customer lifecycle processes. The role requires an analytical thinker with deep domain experience in business banking and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and system solutions. Roles and Responsibilities Engage with business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for change initiatives. Analyse current‑state business and system processes and recommend improvements aligned to business strategy. Translate business requirements into functional specifications for development and testing teams. Support solution design across onboarding, credit, and payments processes to ensure process efficiency and regulatory compliance. Conduct impact assessments for business and technology changes. Collaborate with product owners, solution architects, and system analysts to drive end‑to‑end delivery of enhancements. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with business users. Prepare business process documentation, workflow diagrams, and procedure manuals. Track and report on project deliverables, risks, and dependencies within the change portfolio. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field. At least 5‑8 years of relevant work experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a bank or financial institution. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Structured approach to documentation and process design. Ability to bridge business and technical teams effectively. Detail‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple change initiatives simultaneously. Technical Skills Required (Mandatory) Good hands‑on work experience within Business Banking, credit origination and approval workflows. Good hands‑on work experience in payments and cash management solutions. Solid understanding of business and IT change management processes. Good hands‑on work experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments. Contract Terms This is a 1‑year renewable contract role. The contract can be extended or renewed based on performance.
