About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and trainable Junior Telecom Technician to join their supportive team in Kimberley. This entry-level position is perfect for someone eager to build a career in the telecommunications industry. You will assist senior technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and infrastructure under close supervision. This role provides invaluable on-the-job training and the opportunity to develop essential technical skills in a hands-on environment, contributing to reliable service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the installation and configuration of customer premises equipment (CPE) and related cabling. Support senior technicians in diagnosing and resolving basic telecom service issues. Perform routine checks and basic maintenance tasks on network equipment. Learn and follow installation and repair procedures accurately. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and company vehicle. Adhere to all safety guidelines and company operational standards. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate in electronics or telecommunications is a strong advantage. Basic understanding of telecom concepts and willingness to learn. Manual dexterity and comfort working with tools and equipment. Good problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
