We can't wait to meet you We are currently looking for a talented and versatile Front-End Developer / UX/UI Designer to join our remote team on a freelance basis. In this dual role, you will be responsible for creating engaging and user-friendly interfaces while also ensuring that the technical aspects of websites and applications are optimized for performance. This is a remote position open to candidates based in the UK. Responsibilities Design and implement visually appealing and user-centric front-end interfaces for web applications Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and define design requirements and objectives Develop wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to illustrate design concepts Code responsive websites and applications using modern front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions Optimize web interfaces for maximum speed and scalability Work closely with back-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic Stay updated on best practices in UX/UI design and front-end development Ensure design consistency and adherence to brand guidelines Execute new ways of working, utilising the latest software and models disrupting the design and development industries. Requirements Proven experience as a Front-End Developer and/or UX/UI Designer Strong portfolio showcasing both design work and front-end development projects Proficient in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices Experience conducting user research and usability testing Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to develop responsive and adaptive designs Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication and collaboration skillsExperience with design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma Registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) - This can be arranged at point of job offer. Freelancer Professional Indemnity Insurance - This can be arranged at point of job offer.
