Responsibilities Assist in growing the Sanlam Adviser Business by committing to marketing plans and targets. Apply knowledge of market segmentation to support sales and growth within the defined market. Engage in networking, prospecting and leads generation through face‑to‑face and social interactions. Turn trusted relationships into business opportunities and strengthen existing relationships by increasing current service. Utilize existing sources to establish opportunities across Sanlam businesses. Personalise client value propositions and undertake selected client focused activities to generate leads. Mining of existing client base to identify marketing gaps and sales opportunities within the middle‑high and affluent market. Structure and implement focused campaigns with new or existing clients in the defined market. Request active and ongoing leads and referrals from others and monitor client activities such as maturities, cancellations or surrenders. Ensure all client interactions are compliant in terms of disclosures and advice given (provide written/electronic information required for compliance). Undertake comprehensive fact finding with each client to lift needs and priorities. Conduct a financial needs analysis using relevant tools or systems to ascertain the client’s full financial situation. Provide sound personal financial planning advice, applying financial knowledge to create balanced portfolios. Present financial solutions in a professional manner aligned to Treating Customers Fairly. Use relevant processes and system tools to capture analysis information and update records. Review client portfolios annually by undertaking the above steps. Ensure all client interactions are ethical, courteous and professional. Follow up or refer all existing business queries to be resolved time‑synchronously through support. Strive for excellent, value‑added service to retain clients and prevent them from seeking competitor products. Initiate long‑term client relationships and maintain a relational focus. Monitor, update and report (weekly/monthly) on number and profile of contacts, appointments, consultations and issued business versus revenue targets. Update client details on records and appropriate workflow or activity monitoring system entries. Qualifications Grade 12 education. FAIS “Fit and Proper” requirements and FSCA Regulatory Examination successfully completed for more than 24 months. Strong financial advice and support skills. Ability to achieve production targets and manage budgeting. Knowledge of compliance and risk management. Excellent client relationship management. Proficiency in financial planning and recommendations. Effective communication and independent contribution. Tech savvy and action‑oriented. Interpersonal and persuasive skills.
