About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Frontend Developer to join their innovative product development team based in Paarl . This is an on-site position where you will play a key role in building and enhancing the user interfaces for our cutting-edge web applications. You will collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and backend engineers to create seamless, intuitive, and visually appealing user experiences. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of modern frontend frameworks, a passion for clean code, and a commitment to delivering exceptional user-centric design.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain responsive and dynamic user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, functional code.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end logic with server-side functions and APIs.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior frontend developers.
- Stay abreast of emerging frontend technologies and trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in frontend web development.
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
- Strong proficiency with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Vuex) and build tools (e.g., Webpack).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
