SENIOR PROCESS CONTROLLER | PYSEP PALL/ION About the job SENIOR PROCESS CONTROLLER | PYSEP PALL/ION Internal applications only DATE OF DISTRIBUTION: CLOSING DATE: DEPARTMENT / DOMAIN: PMR PRODUCTION/ PSEP PALL/ION PURPOSE OF THE JOB Perform process control duties as per the section-specific procedures to enable the section/plant to meet production targets with respect to time, quality, quantity, reduced frequency errors and wastage reduction. MINI MUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 with Maths and Science or ABET Level 4. Completed all PdIx modules as per CPDP. Knowledge of safety, environmental, security and quality procedures. Knowledge of risk assessment in the workplace. Good communication skills with the ability to read and write in English. Sound problem-solving, communication, supervisory and analytical skills are required. Computer literacy, i.e., MS Office and SAP. Sound knowledge of standard operating procedures to control a process from a panel or computer interface. Must be medically fit for the Platinum Metal Refinery. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out all tasks associated with the Senior Process Controller, as per the EPMR Primary Separation CPDP. Responsible for promoting and maintaining safety, environmental, housekeeping, quality, and security standards in the area of work. Prepare equipment for repairs and maintenance in line with work procedures and completion of breakdown sheets where applicable, and in line with safety and security standards. Meet section-specific production targets (daily, weekly, and monthly) and attend to and report production-related problems. Conduct analysis, monitor purities, and yield and report where required. Schedule MAPS (update and complete active schedule activity forms) and SAP notifications Ensure that log sheets (and other required documentation) are updated accurately within set time limits. Conduct modular training in line with operational requirements within a reasonable time frame. Perform on-the-job training on the modules found competent as per CPDP guidelines. Supervise subordinates where required. Act in the absence of the supervisor.
