Your key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the preparation of reporting that the annual financial statements
  • Oversee the preparation of reports that go to external stakeholders

Qualifications/ Knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diversified range of internal and external business contacts ranging from board members, senior executives to other staff members.
  • Strong attention to detail and deadline orientation
  • Knowledge of financial systems and financial system configurations
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Technical accounting skills
  • Tax/ VAT knowledge
Experience
  • We are looking for a minimum CA (SA) qualification/ CIMA Qualification with at least 7 years experience post articles within a medium to large enterprise, which should include a minimum of 3 years experience heading up and managing finance teams
  • Solid experience reporting experience with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in managing and drive a highly functioning team
  • Proven experience in identifying, recommending, and implementing new practices / methods of business operations and performance analysis and metrics
  • Conceptual Thinking: must be able to understand complex business models and strong ability to interpret data and foresee future outcomes
  • Ability to build relationships with BU segment leadership, providing strong support and value adding insights
