My client, a leading and well known Manufacturing Company based in Saldanha requires an experienced Trade Tested mechanical fitter to join their team.

The successful candidate will be accountable to the Mechanical Technician. To qualify for this position the most suitable candidate must fulfill the following requirements:

Requirements:

· Qualified Artisan with Red Seal at N3 level

· A minimum of 5 years experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment

· Must be willing and able to perform standby duties and work longer hours

· Must have a valid drivers license to perform standby duties and get to work

Must be criminal clear

· Must be willing to relocate to the West Coast (Vredenburg / Saldanha / Langebaan)

Basic/Brief Job Functions/Responsibilities :

· Assist and perform engineering break downs on the plant

· Perform daily plant and preventative maintenance to assist with continuous production

· Adhere and apply safe working procedures and conditions in plant in accordance with Health and Safety requirements

· Improve overall maintenance on equipment by applying best practices

· Able to repair equipment and machinery according to manufacturers specifications

· Apply basic leadership skills when performing maintenance (Planning, organizing, controlling and feedback on job-cards)

· Involved in the smooth running and optimization of the plant

· Good faultfinding and problem solving skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings

In addition to the above the successful candidate must also have the following attributes:

· Positive with energetic attitude

· Highly self-motivated

· Good communicator

· Good "work ethic";, able to work in a team as well as individually and must be of sober habits.
