About the job Professional Civil Engineer ROLE: PROFESSIONAL CIVIL ENGINEER A great opportunity is available to join a well-established Civil & Structural Engineering Company in Secunda, Mpumulanga. REQUIREMENTS: 10 years' experience in civil engineering. BEng / BSc Eng Degree or BTech / Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering. Possesses extensive knowledge in various civil engineering disciplines.Registered as a Professional Engineer/Technologist at ECSA. Valid drivers licence. Experience in industrial (Oil & Gas, Chemical and Power Generation) and mining sectors, will be advantageous. PREFERRED Design experience in roads, water, sewer, and stormwater Geometric / Pavement Design would be great Experience with work on Provincial / National Roads EE would be an advantage but not a requirement Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry (Brownfields) will be an advantage RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Preparing quotations and tenders for client submission. Interpret client requirements to appropriately define project scope and deliverables. Effective and efficient planning, management, and execution of projects in terms of scope, time, costs, resources and quality. Including changes to project scope. Prepare contract administration documentation based on NEC3/ NEC4 requirements. Must be able to demonstrate strong civil engineering design skills and principles. Execute engineering deliverables to industry standards and client requirements. Review drawings. Manage and work with a project team including sub-contractors and vendors. Collaborate and liaise with professional stakeholders from various engineering disciplines. Maintain and develop client relationships. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Professional report writing skills. Good planning and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and understand the importance of project delivery and client satisfaction. The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
