Maintenance Foreman Type : 3 Month Contract Seniority Level : Mid-Career (Above 8 yrs exp) Job Purpose : To oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities within the plant to ensure optimal equipment performance, minimal downtime, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The Maintenance Foreman will lead a team of artisans and technicians, ensuring maintenance schedules are followed and plant operations run efficiently. Key Responsibilities : Supervise daily maintenance operations (mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration). Plan, schedule, and allocate work to maintenance staff and contractors. Ensure all machinery and equipment are properly maintained and comply with production requirements. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures. Maintain maintenance records and update job cards, checklists, and breakdown reports. Monitor spare parts usage and ensure adequate inventory levels. Enforce compliance with HACCP, GMP, Quality Management Systems, and OHSACT. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and efficiency. Mentor and develop team members to build technical capability and performance. Requirements : Trade Tested Millwright or Electrical Engineering qualification (minimum N4) Minimum 8 years trade experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory / foreman role Strong mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration background Proven experience in an FMCG food manufacturing environment Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, QMS, and OHSACT standards Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and respond to plant emergencies effectively #J-18808-Ljbffr
