Hydraulics Engineer Job Title: Hydraulics Engineer Division: Weir Minerals Location: Johannesburg, Isando, South Africa Employment type: Full-time Seniority level: Not Applicable Job Function: Design and Engineering Industries: Mining, Industrial Machinery Manufacturing, Automation Machinery Manufacturing Purpose of Role The Hydraulics Engineer will assist with the sale and management of Weir related pumping solutions. This role will be predominantly focused on slurry and dewatering solutions, although not limited to them. The role will mainly be in the field, supporting the regions with the sale and installation of these dewatering solutions. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for the product, internally and externally. Conduct site visits and troubleshoot issues. Identify and develop new markets. Support the wider Weir community with technical support. Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Metallurgical / Chemical / Mechanical). 1-3 years post qualification experience in a mining/manufacturing environment. Computer literate – MS Office Suite, ERP Software. Pump selection experience (advantageous). Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero harm behaviors in support of a world‑class safety culture.
