TSU is recruiting Grade C Security Officers for our sites. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. They will possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping facilities safe and problem-free. The successful candidate must be fit to stand/walk for long hours across various terrains and in all weather conditions as regular patrolling is expected, work well under pressure, be neat and presentable as well as have the ability to work with people. Responsibilities Patrol regularly to maintain order and establish presence Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles or people in the property/area Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area Secure all exits, doors and windows after end of operations Check surveillance cameras periodically to identify disruptions or unlawful acts Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation Provide assistance to people in need Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences Minimum Requirements Grade C - Psira registered and up to date Grade 12 Must be physically fit and healthy – ability to be on your feet whole day The candidate must be able to perform well in a high intensity stressful environment Good interpersonal skills are important Suitable candidates must pass all recruitment checks - aptitude test, interviews, background checks etc. Suitable candidates need to reside in the following areas to be considered for the positions we have available - Eersteriver, Delft, Blue Downs, Mfuleni, Kuilsriver, Wesbank, Stellenbosch, Somerset, Strand. #J-18808-Ljbffr
