RealFin Fund Services is a leading provider of independent administration services to regulated CIS Hedge Funds and CIS in Securities portfolios, as well as unregulated funds e.g. private equity, unlisted property, infrastructure, debt funds. Job Description RealFin is seeking a Private Markets Fund Valuation Manager to lead a team of Fund Valuation Specialists in providing an end-to-end independent private equity valuation solution. The role includes daily managing of team members to ensure that all deadlines are met. Review / performance of monthly valuations to ensure accurate and complete and the resolution of any reconciling items and / or errors. Liaison with investors and fund managers to resolve queries, with compiling regulatory reports eg SARB, Reg 28. Strong technical skills and an eye for detail are required, as well as the discipline to work independently and under pressure. The ability to lead and inspire a team to work accurately, effectively to ensure deadlines are met and that there are no material errors. Key Duties and Responsibilities Running daily team meeting to identify deliverables and to allocate work to team members. Monthly review of fund valuation. Review and sign of of all bank reconciliation accounts Independent review, reconciliation and sign off of portfolio holdings valuation Review and sign off of fund fees, including performance fees and / or carried interest calculation Analytical review of fund returns to ensure accurate Liaising with fund manager operational teams to resolve queries Ad hoc and monthly review investor trades and reporting Review and validation of investor trades, draw downs, investor static data Review and authorisation of investor / fund cash flows Review and sign off of investor registers Review and sign off of investor reports, including draw down notices, contract notes, statements, distribution notices, tax reporting Review and validation of draw down notices, distribution notices, tax certificates etc Liaising with investors to resolve queries Ad hoc and monthly regulatory and other reporting Review of regulatory reports, eg SARB, Reg 28 Efficiency – identify bottlenecks and / or inefficiencies in all processes and propose improved procedures Active participation in monthly and ad hoc management meetings Liaising with external auditors to co-ordinate year end audit within deadlines and preparation of AFS Work Experience Required At least two years' experience in : managing a team reviewing and sign off of private equity or similar funds Alternative Work Experience Recently completed articles at established audit firm, with a preference for financial services experience System Experience FIS Software Proficiency Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
