Night Manager (Re-advertised) Herolim Private Hospital – Eastern Cape, Mthatha Deadline: December 09, 2025 Description A vacancy exists for a Night Manager, reporting to the Nursing Services Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the needs of internal and external customers through execution of the hospital’s business strategy and operational objectives in growth, quality & people by leading, managing and coordinating all hospital activities at night. Critical Outputs Effective quality management Communicating, supporting, coaching and monitoring night staff to ensure a safe patient and staff environment. Identifying clinical competence and addressing the concern with the line manager. Participating in and leading quality projects to support a culture of quality. Effective operations management Ensuring staff allocations are adequately assigned. Understanding stock management processes to achieve unit targets. Effectively managing unplanned events to ensure optimal utilization of resources. Providing direction and inspiring positive work behaviour in order to keep staff motivated and productive. Effective relationship building with internal & external stakeholders Participating in meetings to ensure productive and meaningful relationships with external stakeholders. Displaying visible leadership to night staff and management to ensure productive and motivated teamwork. Requirements Degree / Diploma : General Nursing Science. One Year Post Basic Diploma in Nursing Administration. One year Post Basic Diploma in a Specialty : Critical Care, Trauma / Emergency, Midwifery or Theatre. Experience in a similar role. Registration with SANC - all stated qualifications. Computer literate in MS Office Competencies required.
