Responsibilities Project Structuring & Financing: Lead the development of sophisticated financial models and structures for large-scale projects, conducting comprehensive financial analysis to assess viability and returns. Structure and negotiate financing terms with a variety of financial institutions. Deal Execution: Oversee the preparation and presentation of compelling financial proposals to lenders and investors, negotiating key terms and conditions for various financing instruments. Risk Management: Proactively identify and assess financial risks throughout project lifecycles, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies. Financial Analysis & Reporting: Prepare and present insightful financial reports to senior management, monitor project financial performance against forecasts, and manage key relationships with financial institutions. Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, partners, and regulatory bodies, acting as the primary finance liaison. Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of project finance professionals, fostering their development and ensuring collaborative success. Requirements Must-Haves A BCom degree with a specialization in Project Finance. RE1 or RE3 certification. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project finance, investment banking, or a closely related field, with a demonstrated focus on infrastructure or capital-intensive projects. Exceptional financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities. In-depth knowledge of financial instruments, debt and equity structuring, and capital markets. Proven success in negotiating project financing deals, including loans, bonds, and other financing products. Familiarity with the legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape of project finance. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Strategic thinking with a deep understanding of market dynamics. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. High level of financial acumen and robust risk management expertise. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Nice-to-Haves Experience in specific industries such as renewable energy or infrastructure. Willingness to travel as needed to engage with stakeholders and manage project activities.
