Job Description Jukes and Associates is seeking a motivated and ambitious Candidate Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in legal practice and will be mentored to develop their professional skills within a supportive environment. Requirements LLB degree (completed). Must reside within the East Rand. Non-BEE candidate. Valid driver's license. Immediate availability to start. Key Responsibilities Assist senior attorneys with legal research, case analysis, and drafting legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence. Attend court proceedings, client consultations, and settlement negotiations as required. Prepare and file court documents, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and deadlines. Manage and maintain legal files, including case documentation, evidence, and records. Conduct due diligence and background research on clients, companies, and legal matters. Draft reports, summaries, and legal opinions to support case strategy. Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and relevant stakeholders in a professional manner. Support attorneys in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, witness statements, and court bundles. Continuously update knowledge of legal developments, regulations, and best practices.
