2026 FET Phase Cambridge IGCSE level History and Geography Teacher (Midrand Secondary) Nova Pioneer is seeking a dynamic History & Geography teacher for the Senior Phase (Cambridge IGCSE Level) at Midrand Secondary. This role involves driving a rigorous, enquiry‑based learning environment using technology and fostering a culture of student‑centered inquiry. Key Responsibilities Design rigorous, enquiry‑based lesson plans. Prepare students to sit IGCSE level exams. Deliver engaging lessons supported by technology. Observe, coach and mentor new teachers. Infuse joy and passion for learning into lessons. Set ambitious student goals and provide feedback. Conduct ongoing assessment and adjust instruction. Attend weekly feedback meetings. Participate in professional growth activities. Communicate regularly with parents. Contribute to co‑curricular programming. Participate in committees and fulfill supervision duties. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in History or Geography (PGCE preferred). Proficiency in English. SACE registration. 2–3 years of History teaching experience. Ability to lead a classroom independently. Passion for enquiry‑based, student‑centred learning. Strong connection with students and age‑appropriate engagement.
