PURPOSE OF THE POSITION AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Key purpose is to lead Field Sales Managers (FSMs) and Independent Contractors (ICS) in identify optimal selling locations for high-quality sales of legal expenses insurance and funeral cover policies while ensuring adhering to Treating Customers Faily (TCF) principles. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of team management including performance evaluation and disciplinary actions. Manage staff performance and development initiatives. Collaborate with Field Sales Managers to target Stop Order business and identify new facility opportunities. Ensure vehicles assigned to branches comply with company fleet procedures and performance targets. Manage and maintain marketing and sales materials according to established company standards. Inspire sales teams to exceed company sales targets through motivation and support. Facilitate ongoing recruitment training and support for sales team leaders, Field Sales Consultants and Field Sales Managers to ensure a consistently strong sales force. Ensure sales teams operate in compliance with the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS) and TCF principles prioritizing customer transparency and fairness. Requirements Education: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification. Marketing and Sales qualification is advantageous. At least 5 years of sales experience in the insurance sector. At least 3 years as a sales Manager managing a team of Field Sales Managers. Strong track record of working within the stop order market. Skilled in building trust with FSMs and ICs and motivating them to meet targets. Completed FSB Regulatory exam will be an advantage. Honest, reliable, customer-focused, good with people. Analytical, detail-oriented, strong negotiation, networking, leadership and presentation skills. Willing to travel often; must bring own relocation costs. Valid driver's licence and Public Driver's Permit (PDP). Clear criminal record. Skills and Competencies Analytical Thinking Ability to split a task/problem into its component parts and use these logically and systematically to reveal the implications of the task/problem. Problem Solving Skills The ability to assess a complex situation and generate practical solutions. Time Management Skills The ability to cope with deadlines through prioritising work activities. Negotiation Skills The ability to communicate arguments logically and reach a mutually beneficial outcome. Leadership Skills The ability to inspire others to achieve goals, empower them, and benefit the company. Other Competencies A track record of quality sales and evidence of being results-driven. Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service orientation. Proven ability to build teams and maintain team cohesion. Proven ability to organise, coordinate, and provide training, coaching, and counselling for sales agents / representatives, supervisors, and junior management. Good management and leadership skills including compliance to FAIS and regulatory, governance requirements.
