Product Manager - Animal Health and Nutrition

The Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to join their Marketing team. This role will be responsible for increasing the profitability of existing products and for identifying, assessing, and developing new products to enhance their current portfolio in the animal health and nutrition sector, with a specific focus on monogastric nutrition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Optimise new product launch execution and existing product growth based on continuous improvement.
  • Introduce strategy changes based on performance objectives.
  • Manage the entire product line lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Conduct market research and specify market requirements for current and future products in the monogastric nutrition space.
  • Analyse industry data to highlight trends and optimisation needs for customers in the monogastric sector.
  • Develop and implement company-wide go-to-market plans for monogastric nutrition products.
  • Conduct financial analysis on new opportunities using ROI models.
  • Ensure compliance with required OHS and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • MSc in Animal Science with a focus on monogastric nutrition.
  • At least 5 years of solid commercial or account management experience in animal health and monogastric nutrition.
  • Evidenced knowledge of animal nutrition, health, and production of animal nutrition-related products, particularly for monogastric animals.
  • Understanding and experience in feed formulations involving probiotics and enzymes for monogastric species is an advantage.
  • Proven track record in successfully launching animal feed products and services in the monogastric sector.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
