The Opportunity A well-established organisation based in Graaff-Reinet is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of core financial functions while leading and developing a team within a dynamic this role you will oversee the fixed assets accounts payable treasury and month-end reporting ensuring that every process is delivered with precision and integrity. This is an opportunity for a strong hands-on Accountant who is ready to bring structure to complexity elevate team performance and strengthen the organisations financial backbone from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Manage the full fixed asset function ensuring accurate tracking and compliance Oversee the accounts payable process with strong controls and efficiency Take ownership of the cashbooks and treasury operations to ensure accurate cash management Drive the month-end close process and produce reliable financial reporting Lead, mentor and manage a team of 8 direct reports fostering accountability and growth Implement and refine processes to improve financial accuracy and operational flow Support internal and external audits through structured and transparent reporting Apply systems knowledge to streamline accounting workflows What You Bring Completed BCom Degree (minimum requirement) Minimum 3 years experience with 35 years within accounting functions Strong technical experience across: Fixed assets, accounts payable, cashbooks / treasury and month-end reporting Proven team management experience (8 direct reports) System exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous A leadership approach grounded in accuracy structure and developing people Why You’ll Want This Role This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a well-established environment where operational excellence is valued.
