IT Software Business Analyst – Group Life Insurance Risk Industry Apply to be among the first 25 applicants. The role is based in Gauteng, permanent, and can work remotely. Responsibilities Work with external customers/companies to understand their software solution needs in the Group Life Insurance/Funeral Insurance industry. Analyse, design, and support new product and policy configurations, including new setups, onboarding, and product implementation. Create and execute business test cases, scenarios, feature user stories, scripts and sprint plans for claims processes, premiums, warranties, and integrations. Unpack and understand each functional area, system architecture, and inter‑dependencies between modules. Architect and sign off on ASD documents with the Technical Architect and Functional Owners. Present functional area capabilities to Group Life Insurance teams and stakeholders. Support CSMs in configuration, training, and regression testing. Actively identify potential roadmap items that would enhance the solution for future development. Keep abreast of industry regulations and developments. Deliver on‑premise to AWS migration experience and application/data migration to AWS cloud. Present and deliver “Train the Trainer” sessions and business/insurance training. Qualifications & Experience 5-6+ years in external customer-facing roles within the Group Life Insurance or Funeral Insurance industry. Background in digital group life insurance policies and experience with test case creation, functional specifications, and sprint planning. Strong understanding of mathematical, algebraic, and equation concepts. Business Analyst certification – essential. IT Software Diploma, Degree or equivalent relevant qualification. Agile, JIRA, and regression testing experience. Experience presenting to external companies/clients. Knowledge of stakeholder management tools and technologies. Driver’s licence and own transport preferred for remote client visits. Matric certificate. Compensation Monthly salary up to R60 000 (full cost to company).
