About the Role
Our client is seeking a hands-on and experienced Construction Foreman to lead teams on residential building projects in and around Paarl, Western Cape. You will be responsible for supervising daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of residential construction techniques. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and timely completion of projects, fostering a productive and safe work environment on site.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the work of construction crews and subcontractors on site. Ensure all construction activities comply with project plans, specifications, and building codes. Implement and enforce strict health and safety regulations on the job site. Manage on-site materials and equipment, ensuring adequate supply and proper utilization. Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure workers understand their tasks and safety protocols. Maintain daily logs of site activities, progress, and any incidents or issues encountered. Requirements Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or a similar supervisory role. Solid understanding of residential construction processes, methods, and materials. Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction industry. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents. Experience in managing teams and subcontractors effectively. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
