Reference : PTA MM-1 Our client is looking for a Water treatment plant Mechanical Engineer for a 10 month contract in Witbank Duties & Responsibilities Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical water treatment equipment. Conduct inspections, fault diagnosis, and performance optimization. Support project design, equipment selection, and commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with SANS, ISO, and municipal standards. Supervise contractors and ensure environmental and safety compliance. Desired Experience & Qualification Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years post ECSA registration SAQA verified qualifications. 10+ years in water treatment, mining, or industrial utilities environments. Knowledge of pumps, dosing systems, and filtration technologies. Excellent troubleshooting and system improvement skills. Strong focus on sustainability and compliance. Operation and maintenance of mechanical filtration and dosing systems. Pumping systems, valves, and pipeline maintenance. Knowledge of water chemistry and treatment technologies.
