Role Description The Design Architect will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing architectural designs that align with client requirements and the organization’s standard for excellence. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include collaborating with clients and stakeholders, creating and managing construction drawings, overseeing design workflows, providing solutions to ensure project feasibility, and contributing to both tailored and cost‑effective designs. The role involves teamwork with a multidisciplinary staff and active communication to realize creative and functional architectural outcomes. Qualifications Relevant degree (M. Arch) in Architecture, supported by professional accreditation is required. Between 8 and 15 years experience (post qualification). Strong skills in Architectural Design and Design Management to conceptualize and refine unique and effective solutions. Experience in applying knowledge of Architecture for buildable and cost‑sensitive projects. Excellent Communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and cross‑functional teams. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in working across residential, commercial, and mixed‑use sectors is a plus. Proficiency in ArchiCAD preferred, but not a deal breaker (you would need to be willing to learn). Fine Print This is a full‑time position based in Woodstock, Cape Town; preference will be given to candidates already residing (or planning to reside) in Cape Town. Able to commence in the role in January 2025. Salary offered is commensurate with experience and includes Group Income Cover (post probation).
