A leading organization in the Construction Retail sector, specializing in power tools, construction material and home upgrades is seeking an experienced Category Manager to drive category performance, lead product strategy and support commercial growth. Location: Fourways Responsibilities Develop and execute category-led strategies aligned to customer needs and market trends Conduct market research and identify opportunities for growth and innovation Manage product lifecycle, pricing, assortment and supplier negotiations Monitor category performance KPIs — sales, margin, inventory turnover Drive optimisation and corrective decisions where required Collaborate with supply chain, marketing and leadership to execute category plans Provide insights and reports to leadership on category performance Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Marketing or similar 5+ years’ experience in category management, product management or buying Experience in construction equipment/materials, FMCG or e-commerce is highly beneficial Data-driven mindset with strong forecasting and analytical ability Strong negotiation, supplier engagement and commercial thinking Confident communicator, proactive, logical and strategic Senior level: Mid‑Senior level.
