SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Red Seal Millwright trade test Certificate;
  • Engineering diploma in mechanical or electromechanical (heavy current) fields with an academic qualification of at least T3 or N5;
  • Minimum 5 years experience gained in a FMCG / Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of plant automation operations
  • Fault Finding - Electrical and mechanical schematic
  • Must do standby
  • Own Transport
  • Overtime as required
Advantageous/Preferred:
  • Instrumentation / SCADA Systems/ PLC / HMI / High Voltage Switching Experience;
  • Supervisor course qualification (6-month refresher course) including HR / IR Course How to delegate, communicate, motivate and discipline;
  • FSSC training;
  • OHS Safety Rep (formal training) up to date;
  • Forklift Drivers license;
  • Dryer / Heater bank system training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prioritise and schedule maintenance task in accordance to supplier specifications.
  • Manage all mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
  • Adherence to preventative maintenance plan.
  • Ensure job card system is up to date and all reports are submitted on time and are correct
  • Update maintenance program with information on what preventative maintenance is required.
  • Ensure that necessary parts are available and if parts are not available order in time
  • Consult Production / Packing Manager when production line can be stopped to do necessary maintenance
  • Inform maintenance personnel with job card for machines service requirement and compile schedule
  • To ensure good work practices and high quality work is done to prevent re-occurrence on the same equipment due to poor work quality.
  • To coordinated the measurement tracking of energy efficiency at your mill
  • Proactive internal and external training to improve the operational skills level of all operators.
  • Ensure that the ION Meter is in order and recording the energy usage in a correct manner.
  • Conduct daily checks and record on the power factor units. Action logged defects to rectify.
  • Achieve maintain Dust, Air, Spillage, water leakage free plant. Take corrective action to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and ensure adherence to budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies, procedures and CIPs.
  • Ensure compliance to food safety requirements as per the FSSC standard.
  • Ensure OPRPs are managed effectively.
