Responsibilities Test drive vehicles to assess work completed and diagnose issues customers bring in. Move frequently between the workshop, service advisors and parts department to generate repair quotes. Discuss repair orders with service advisors and customers and provide coherent explanations. Provide accurate diagnosis to estimate (cost, time, effort) for repairs correctly. Carry out allocated maintenance, repair and diagnostic work as instructed. Perform tasks such as replacing oil or lubricating equipment; inspecting, replacing and/or repairing damaged parts. Use diagnostic equipment correctly for vehicle diagnosis and repair. Ensure diagnosis leads to the most cost‑effective and accurate remedy to fault or customer complaint. Produce legible and accurate paperwork, job cards etc reflecting the work performed. Maintain a clean, safe working environment and return vehicles in a neat, clean and safe condition. Qualifications & Skills Qualified as Automotive Technician (minimum requirement). 3+ years' experience as a qualified technician – highly desired. Valid, unendorsed driver’s licence and safe driving record. Capability to perform heavy equipment handling, standing for long periods, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouching and working in confined spaces. Competent at operating manufacturer diagnostic equipment to access required information. Excellent track record of “fix right first time.” Mechanical insight, problem‑solving and motor vehicle fault diagnostic skills. Mentally alert with sound English communication (verbal and written) skills. Meticulous, customer‑oriented, team player, interpersonally competent, decisive and efficient. #J-18808-Ljbffr
