Responsibilities Financial Management – Ensuring the club operates as a profitable business unit, controlling income and expenses against budget, and managing risk (salary requirements, audit reports, etc). Facility Management – Managing operations and health and safety, ensuring procedures follow company standards. People Management – Recruiting, developing, and training staff; ensuring effective communication; implementing policies, procedures, and systems. Customer Experience – Implementing and sustaining a member‑focus culture, providing solutions to member queries and complaints in line with company policy, and ensuring excellent service according to brand standards. Competitor Analysis – Understanding and mitigating competitor risk, conducting regular analysis of the competitive landscape, and notifying senior management of potential threats. Minimum Requirements Matric or equivalent NQF level 4 is essential. Previous managerial experience at Club General Manager level with a successful track record and strong leadership skills. Or have served as the 2IC to a Club General Manager. Successfully completed the internal Learn to Fly programme. Financial proficiency and strong financial acumen. Business owner mindset. Solid understanding of the market and strong insight into the competition. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Good customer relations and interpersonal skills. Solid understanding of People/HR procedures, including recruitment, development, relationships, performance management, and coaching. Proven track record working within an ever‑changing and pressurised environment. Desired Qualities Adaptability – able to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
