Graphic Designer Location: Pretoria Type: Full-time Level: Junior (but with Senior energy) About Splssh Splssh is a premium, design-led merchandise studio based in Pretoria. We create tailor‑made merch, apparel, packaging, and branded moments for more than 1,000 South African brands. Our work is fast‑paced, creative, and deeply collaborative. The role We’re looking for a Graphic Designer who’s equal parts creative, organised, and obsessed with making brands look good. This role sits inside Imagination Station, the heart of Splssh’s creativity and works closely with our Account Manager, Product Development, and Production teams. You’ll design merch concepts, apparel graphics, packaging, corporate gifts, social media assets, and visual proposals that help clients fall in love at first sight. What you’ll do Create merch concepts, apparel graphics, packaging designs, and full visual proposals. Translate rough ideas, references, and client briefs into polished, on‑brand designs. Prepare print‑ready artwork for suppliers, including dielines, embroidery files, screen print layouts, sublimation panels, etc. Develop mood boards, lookbooks, and seasonal drop visuals. Work closely with our account managers to understand client needs and turn them into visuals. Join client calls when necessary to discuss ideas or refine concepts. Collaborate with the production team to ensure artwork accuracy and smooth execution. Contribute to Splssh’s internal brand assets: templates, campaigns, lookbooks, kits, and website visuals. Support the creation of seasonal product photography layouts and premium content. Maintain organised folders, file names, and artwork systems. Ensure accuracy in Pantones, branding placement, print techniques, and sizing. Meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment without compromising quality. What you’ll bring 1‑4 years of design experience (agency, studio, or freelance). Strong understanding of layout, typography, and brand identity. Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Experience in apparel/merch/packaging design is a serious bonus. A portfolio that shows you have taste. Ability to work fast, think creatively, and handle multiple projects at once. Positive energy, initiative, and a solutions mindset.
