What Were Looking For Were looking for passionate, service-driven individuals who take pride in quality, consistency, and presentation. The ideal Barista will have: A valid South African ID or work permit A Matric certificate (Grade 12) At least 2 years recent experience as a Barista in a hotel, café, or restaurant environment A passion for coffee, tea, and beverage craftsmanship Strong customer service skills and a welcoming, professional demeanour Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced service environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros, cash-ups, and beverage preparation equipment Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards What Youll Do Craft high quality beverages by preparing espresso, cappuccino, lattes, teas, and specialty drinks to perfection, following hotel recipes and presentation standards Deliver service excellence by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, answering menu questions, and ensuring every experience is enjoyable Engage guests proactively by anticipating needs, making personalised recommendations, and creating moments of genuine connection Drive revenue through suggestive selling, promoting specials, and supporting the team in achieving food and beverage targets Maintain standards by keeping the coffee bar clean, stocked, and visually appealing throughout the day Support your team by collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations, professionalism, and a positive workplace culture Uphold safety and hygiene by following all health, safety, and sanitation procedures as per hotel policy Why The President At The President Hotel, we dont just serve guests, we create experiences that stay with them long after the last sip.
