Production / Farm Manager

Stanislaus Agri, a leading and well-established producer of stone and pome fruit based in Tulbagh with various production units, has an exciting opportunity available for a Production / Farm Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Manage production processes on various production units (fertilizing, irrigation, chemistry activities, pruning & sawing, manipulation, harvest, fruit thinning and planting)
• Personnel management (productivity, planning of labour requirements, discipline, training, sign off on wages etc.)
• Preparation and management of budget
• Act as link between marketing and pack house
• Stock control (place orders, inventory etc.)
• Coordinate maintenance on the production units
• Manage Health & Safety and all food safety audits on production units

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in a fruit production management role
• Relevant post matric qualification will be advantageous
• Well-developed leadership and management skills
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Computer literate and proficient in the use of MS Office
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication (English & Afrikaans) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to function well under pressure and prioritise tasks
