Postdoctoral Research Fellow Tulane University School of Medicine The Department of Environmental Health Sciences at the Tulane University Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (CSWSPHTM) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a multidisciplinary team working on a National Academy of Sciences Gulf Research Program‑funded project. The project investigates the impacts of several climate change‑induced risk factors—such as heat, humidity, tropical storms, and floods—on cardiovascular, respiratory, and mental health outcomes in the Gulf South region of the United States, determines their cumulative effects, and assesses the vulnerabilities to these impacts. Responsibilities Actively engage in study design, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and the development of research proposals. Mentor graduate and undergraduate students, present study findings at conferences. Participate in career development activities and be encouraged to apply for transitional career awards and/or mentored career development awards. Appointment Details Initial appointment for one year, with the possibility of extension for up to two additional years based on performance. The successful candidate will be supervised by Dr. Mostafijur Rahman, Assistant Professor of Environmental Health Sciences.
