Overview Our Client in the Packaging and Recycling Industry is seeking to employ a SHEQ Assistant to their team based in Port Elizabeth. Salary: R 14 000 - R 18 000 Monthly - depending on experience. Requirements Qualification in Environmental, Health and Safety Management. SAMTRAC certification with experience in a manufacturing environment. Solid understanding of EHS regulations and policies. Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft Office. Internal Auditor experience in ISO 14000 and ISO 22000. Ability to conduct training sessions. Proactive, responsible, and reliable. Strong communication skills at all levels. Good administrative and filing skills. Experience in packaging or manufacturing environments (advantageous). Fire Certificate (Level 1). Basic knowledge of fire risk management. Strong report writing skills. Knowledge of food safety. Responsibilities Support compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 22000 standards. Conduct Health and Safety induction training on site. Maintain electronic and hard copies of SHE documentation requirements. Conduct internal SHE audits. Conduct and review HIRAs (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments), WSWPs (Workplace Safe Work Procedures), and PJOs (Planned Job Observations).
