Our client is seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Sous Chef to join their culinary team at their prestigious 5-star game lodge. You will assist the Head Pastry Chef in creating exceptional pastries, desserts, and baked goods that reflect our lodges high standards. This is a hands-on position that requires leadership, creativity, and a love for fine dining. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and presentation of all pastry and dessert items for the lodges fine dining and special events. Supervise and mentor junior pastry staff, ensuring consistency and quality. Maintain inventory levels, ensuring the kitchen is fully stocked with the necessary ingredients. Assist in menu development, contributing creative ideas for seasonal and themed desserts. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and cleanliness in the pastry section. Collaborate with the kitchen team to create memorable guest experiences. Handle special dietary requests and ensure high-quality, personalized dishes. Requirements: Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with a minimum of 3-5 years in high-end establishments. A formal culinary qualification (Pastry Diploma or equivalent). Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively. Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in pastry design and presentation.
