Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Manager for their team in Gauteng, Johannesburg East. Location: JHB East Minimum Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA) Financial Accountant Certification Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (NQF Level 7) Own vehicle and valid driver’s license SAGE Knowledge of Tax and IFRS/IAS rules Availability to work overtime during month-end and year-end Technical Experience: Excellent math skills with attention to detail Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as Accpac Solid understanding of accounting regulations In-depth knowledge of business bookkeeping procedures Experience: Minimum 5 years of industry-related experience 7-10 years of proven work experience as a Financial Manager or similar role Management experience in a finance department for 7-10 years Key Skills and Attributes: Ability to manage, mentor, and guide staff to meet strategic and regulatory requirements Ability to work independently and in teams, resolving conflicts effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a pressurized environment Attention to detail, analytical and investigative mindset Positive and professional attitude Proactive planning skills Ability to ensure departmental compliance with policies, procedures, and pass audits Resource planning for month-end and daily operations Effective delegation skills Willingness to work overtime during peak periods Main Purpose of the Job: To maintain accurate records of revenue, expenditure, assets, and liabilities, ensuring the integrity of financial information and supporting clean audits. Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor the finance team Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Provide guidance to ensure timely and accurate financial processes Financial Operations and Reporting: Oversee preparation of financial statements in compliance with standards Maintain the integrity of general ledger, cashbook, accounts payable/receivable, and reporting functions Coordinate with auditors, maintain internal controls, and ensure regulatory compliance Deep knowledge of IFRS, VAT, Income Tax, and transfer pricing Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead budgeting processes and variance analysis Conduct financial analyses for strategic decision-making Prepare forecasts and performance reports for leadership Cash Flow and Treasury Management: Develop cash flow models to ensure liquidity Manage banking relationships and funding Handle bank guarantees Mergers and Acquisitions: Support due diligence, valuation, and integration planning Collaborate with legal and operational advisors Systems and Process Improvement: Drive automation and system enhancements Implement best practices for efficiency and scalability Salary: Market-related CTC, Medical Aid & Pension Application Process: Apply via our website. #J-18808-Ljbffr
