Overview Job Title: Forklift Technician (Field/Workshop) Location: Germiston, GautengSalary: R25,000 – R35,000 CTC per month (depending on experience)Job Type: Full-Time | PermanentExperience Required: 15+ years Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Forklift Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of forklifts and related material handling equipment, both in the workshop and at customer sites. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong technical background, excellent fault-finding skills, and a proactive approach to customer service. Responsibilities Perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel, electric, and LPG-powered forklifts. Attend to breakdowns and conduct field repairs at customer sites. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and company procedures. Complete accurate service documentation, including job cards and reports. Support junior technicians with technical guidance where necessary. Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance checks. Communicate effectively with customers regarding job status and repair outcomes. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment. Minimum Requirements 15+ years of hands-on experience as a Forklift Technician. Trade Test Certificate (Millwright, Diesel Mechanic, or similar) – preferred. Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Experience with multiple forklift brands (e.g., Toyota, Hyster, Linde, etc.). Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent fault-finding, troubleshooting, and communication skills. High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
