**Location:**Durban,KwaZulu-Natal,South AfricaAfrimat CM KZN Coastal (Pty) Ltd, based in Ridgeview Quarry has a vacancy for:## Boilermaker##### Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:* Application must be in position of Grade 12 (Matric) qualification and/or equivalent* Trade Certificate as a Boilermaker* 3-5 years of experience on the Job* Knowledge of different fabrication techniques for different alloys* Knowledge of basic rigging practices and safety aspects* Valid drivers license* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings & Computer Skills* Willing to work overtime when required* Toolbox##### Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):* Liaise with the Maintenance Foreman on daily basis to discuss maintenance/engineering breakdowns in the plant and submit job cards.* Conduct route inspections in assigned areas of responsibility to identify defects and generate work orders for the repair work to be scheduled.* Works closely with the maintenance supervisor by providing necessary information to improve work practices and procedures.* Fabrication of plate-work for replacement, repairs or modification of existing equipment.* Construction and erection of approved new installations in the plant.* Attend breakdowns, investigates root causes of failures and records feedback for the planner to capture it for continuous improvement in systems and procedures.* Conducts regular maintenance on plant and equipment according to the maintenance plan* Participate in major breakdowns and planned shutdowns performing delegated repairs and other tasks for extended periods of overtime.* Does standby duties on back-shift, public holidays and weekends on a rotational basis with other artisans.* Maintains good housekeeping standards by keeping the working area neat and tidy.* Maintains safe working conditions and always follows safe-working practices, ensuring all those around him do the same.* Participates in safety and environmental improvement programs including near-miss reporting and submitting suggestions for improvement.* Proposes modifications to equipment for better performance or safety improvements to the Maintenance Supervisor.* Performs any other reasonable tasks when requested by Maintenance Supervisor##### Please send the following documents to apply:Please upload the following documents in one file with the application form to the right.
