Details Location: Johannesburg, ZA Reference: REQ - Keabetswe Modise Closing Date: 12 December 2025 Job Family Information Technology IT Operations Manage Self: Professional Job Purpose To provide specialist technical expertise and support to Nedbank’s Windows Server Environment. Design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Windows Server environments within the organization. Ensure the stability, security, and performance of these systems; physical, virtual on‑premises and virtual cloud servers. Enable the organization's Server infrastructure to function effectively and efficiently. Job Responsibilities Contribute to a culture of transformation by participating in Nedbank culture building initiatives, business strategy, and CSI. Stay abreast of developments in field of expertise, ensuring personal and professional growth. Understand and embrace the Nedbank vision and values, leading by example. Perform Server Health Checks Perform Monitoring and Logging: Dynatrace, Grafana Ensuring acceptance criteria is adhered to before any new servers are provisioned into environment Continually assess existing processes and Identify opportunities to improve or enhance processes, adding value to Nedbank. Project planning, implementation & ensuring end to end delivery Conduct Scripting & Enhance Automation SCCM packaging, scripting, Patching Engagement with VMware team Ensure contingency during disaster recovery (DR). Provide sustainable solutions per incident by conducting root cause and trend analysis. Infrastructure as Code: (IaC): Chef, Terraform Enhance containerisation and orchestration Follow SDLC Best Practices Conduct Vulnerability Management tasks Performing Server Migrations Investigate AD / DNS issues Configuring SQL Server Configure & troubleshoot Microsoft Clustered environments Ensure all documentation is up to date and relevant Ensure knowledge management, continuity, and team success through constructive participation in a diverse team and by sharing knowledge with team., upskilling & providing guidance to Juniors People Specification Windows Server OS extensive knowledge SQL Azure and/ or AWS Scripting & Automation Essential Qualifications - NQF Level Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees Minimum Experience Level 10 years plus exposure to IT environment 5+ Years Window Server/ System Engineer Experience Windows Server Experience & Certification Azure and/ or AWS Experience & Certification Scripting & Automation Technical / Professional Knowledge Banking knowledge Banking procedures Business Acumen Business principles Business terms and definitions Communication Strategies Data analysis Governance, Risk and Controls Industry trends Microsoft Office Principles of financial management Principles of project management Relevant software and systems knowledge Research methodology Decision-making process Business writing skills Relevant regulatory, compliance and risk legislation Cluster Specific Operational Knowledge System Development Life cycle(SDLC) IT Risk and security principes ITIL Single Operating system Application systems Computer Hardware & Software Specific technology of relevant to domain Domain specific utilities Decision Making Building partnerships Driving for Results Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills Please contact the Nedbank Recruiting Team at Nedbank Ltd Reg No 1951/ /06.
