Program Supervisor

Job Duties Performs a variety of first‑line supervisory and professional duties related to delivering technical WIC services and programs to individuals, families, and communities within the health district. Employees in this classification are designated as a supervisor over a specific county service area, i.e., Washington, Iron, Kane, Beaver, or Garfield County. Provides close to general supervision to CPAs, office/clinical assistants, or other clerical staff involved in the WIC program. Work Schedule Monday through Thursday 7:30‑5:30 Friday 8‑5 with every other Friday off Skills & Abilities Computer skills (Google Drive, Microsoft Suite, etc.) Must be able to multitask Good customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Spanish speaking strongly preferred Minimum Qualifications Graduation from college with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Dietetics, Human Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Public Health Nutrition, Nutritional Sciences, Food Systems Management, or Food Sciences, plus an approved dietetic internship or an RN degree/license to practice in Utah. Considerable knowledge of nutrition, principles and practices related to the WIC; principles, methods, and techniques of effective supervision and personnel practices; research methods and evaluation of statistical data; principles of teaching; public relations skills; district operations including applicable laws and regulations; principles of supervision and employee motivation; the operation of personal computer (PC) and various software related to word processing, spreadsheets, etc. Ability to supervise subordinate personnel; communicate effectively both with oral and written material; develop effective working relationships with professional health care personnel, elected officials, administrators, co-workers, and the public. Must be a Registered Dietitian or Registered Nurse upon date of hire Hold a certification license in the State of Utah Must possess a Utah valid driver's license Work Environment May be required to stay at or return to work during public health incidents and/or emergencies to perform duties specific to this classification or to perform other duties as requested in an assigned response position.
