Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Site Reliability Engineer based in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area, with some flexibility to work remotely. The Site Reliability Engineer will ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of SprintHive’s onboarding systems. Responsibilities include designing and implementing automation tools, monitoring system health, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with development teams for performance optimization. The role involves improving deployment pipelines, maintaining system security, and contributing to the continuous development of tools and system infrastructure. Qualifications Experience with DevOps tools and practices, such as CI/CD pipelines, automation, and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker). Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and system infrastructure design. Ability to monitor and improve system reliability using tools and techniques for performance analysis and tracking. Hands‑on experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, or Go). Understanding of system and network security, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response. Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to maintaining operational excellence. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
