As the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will report directly to the CEO and the Board of Directors, playing a pivotal role in overseeing the daily administrative, commercial and operational functions of the business. You will ensure that all processes run efficiently, maintain high quality standards and drive profitability.

Requirements:

  1. Post graduate qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field is beneficial
  2. 8 years experience in a senior operational role
  3. Experience within the FMCG and manufacturing industry
  4. Willing to relocate (with assistance) if not based on the South Coast (KZN)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage all aspects of administration, production, supply chain and quality control to guarantee the seamless operation of the factory
  2. Oversee budgeting, forecasting and resource allocation to optimize profitability
  3. Ensure adherence to all health, safety and food manufacturing regulations
  4. Collaborate with the sales, marketing and R&D teams to align operations with market trends and customer demands, fostering sales growth
  5. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
  6. Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company's vision and long-term growth objectives
  7. Lead, mentor and inspire a diverse team, driving operational excellence and sustainable profitability
