Head Diesel Truck Mechanic

This permanent position offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Grade 12
• Valid EC driver’s license
• Proof of relevant qualification (e.g., Red Seal)
• Minimum 5 years' experience maintaining and servicing a transport fleet
• Experience with Volvo, Mercedes, UD, Scania, Palfinger, Hiab, and Afrit vehicles

Skills:
• Problem-solving abilities to enhance fleet efficiency
• Highly organized, dedicated, and committed
• Punctual with fleet administration
• Auto electrical knowledge
• Welding, spray painting, minor panel beating
• Total responsibility for transport fleet aspects
• Team player with managerial skills

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead maintenance department
• Maintain and upkeep fleet
• Identify and solve maintenance problems promptly
• Maintain absolute neatness in work
• Attend breakdowns promptly
• Service trucks, cranes, and trailers
• Meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Find and solve problems with vehicles, brick cranes, and trailers
