We are looking for a Finance Manager who will drive financial excellence and strategic growth. As the the Finance Manager you will be the backbone of fiscal stability, ensuring smart budgeting, accurate forecasting, and seamless financial operations to keep the business thriving.

What you’ll do:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and implement financial plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and improve profitability.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for the business unit.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop accurate budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, taking corrective actions as necessary.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.

Risk Management:

  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage cash flow effectively to meet operational requirements and financial obligations.
  • Optimize working capital and liquidity to support business operations.
  • Monitor cash flow forecasts and implement cash management strategies.

Your expertise:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in a similar industry or business unit environment.
  • Alternatively, a National Diploma with 10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis tools and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven experience as Business Unit Financial Manager or other managerial position
  • Experience in reporting / management accounting and running full financial function.
  • Good understanding of commercial and business processes
  • Good knowledge of financial systems
  • Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Problem Solving, Numerical, Analytical and Computer skills.
  • Ability to identify key drivers and opportunities to improve

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or financial management.

Budget Management:

  • Accuracy and effectiveness of budgeting process.
  • Variance analysis and proactive management of budget deviations.

  • Adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Effectiveness of risk management strategies in mitigating financial risks.

Financial Reporting:

  • Timeliness and accuracy of financial reports.
  • Quality of financial analysis and insights provided.

Strategic Financial Planning:

  • Contribution to the development and implementation of financial strategies.
  • Alignment of financial plans with overall business objectives. Partnering Tasks:

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals
    with operational strategies.
  • Provide financial expertise and support to cross-functional teams.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Communicate financial performance and insights effectively to stakeholders.

Business Decision Support:

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial due diligence support.

Change Management:

  • Lead financial change initiatives and process improvements within the business unit.
  • Drive efficiency gains and cost-saving initiatives through continuous improvement efforts.

Talent Development:

  • Mentor and develop finance team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the finance function.
