ABOUT THIS ROLE Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-driven Junior Product Designer to join their fast-paced, collaborative Design Department. Working under the guidance of a Senior Product Designer or Creative Director, you'll contribute to the development of physical products and structural display units — from conceptual sketches to technical drawings and prototypes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in design principles, structural reasoning, and CAD proficiency, who is eager to grow their skills in a hands-on, creatively charged environment. WHAT YOU WILL DO Technical Design & Drafting Support in preparing technical drawings, die-lines, and 3D models for production Assist with creating detailed fabrication drawings and documentation packs Use CAD tools to develop accurate layouts, structures, and assembly guidesCreativity & Innovation Participate in design brainstorms and contribute original ideas Help develop solutions that balance aesthetic, function, and feasibility Research design trends, new materials, and fabrication techniquesPrecision & Documentation Ensure accuracy in all annotated drawings and technical files Maintain organized records of revisions, assets, and final outputs Cross-check designs for material alignment and production compatibilityPrototyping & Finishing Assist in building mock-ups, white samples, and presentation models Help prepare design presentations and documentation for internal reviews Support in implementing feedback and updating prototypes accordinglyTeam Collaboration & Communication Work closely with senior designers and cross-functional teams to align on design intent Participate in briefings, reviews, and project discussions Clearly communicate ideas through visuals, sketches, or verbal explanationsDesign & Industry Awareness Stay up to date with structural and product design trends Gain practical knowledge of materials, assembly methods, and industry standards Apply basic design theory and structural principles to real-world projects WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR National Diploma or Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or Architectural Technology 1–2 years of experience in a design studio, drawing office, or similar environment Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks, etc.) Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus Familiarity with prototype development and finishing techniques is advantageous Excellent attention to detail and structural reasoning Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a creative team If you’re passionate about creating tangible, well-crafted designs and eager to build your career in product and structural design — Apply now #J-18808-Ljbffr
