Join to apply for the PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR role at University of the Witwatersrand Brief Description: Law of Contract and International Business Transactions Law (1 vacancy) Law of Succession, Persons and Family Law (1 vacancy) Law of Evidence, Civil and/or Criminal Procedure (1 vacancy) Constitutional Law (primary teaching and research focus broader than the Bill of Rights) (1 vacancy) Corporate Law (1 vacancy) Requirements Applicants at the level of Professor/Associate Professor must have a doctorate (preferably in the advertised field) and substantial accredited research output in one of the fields applied for; a proven track record of effective teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; and evidence of successful postgraduate supervision. Evidence of graduating PhD or LLM (research) students will be an advantage. An NRF rating is an advantage. Applicants at the level of Adjunct Professor must at least have an LLB, preferably an LLM, and must have worked in a professional field where they were not expected to be an active researcher. They must have distinguished themselves in teaching and excelled in their profession as evidenced by reputation and/or international standing. Applicants may be required to teach at both postgraduate and undergraduate level in the advertised fields and, if the need arises, in an additional field.
